Sylvester is the first African-American head football coach in the SEC. He is the son of a pastor and his dad was active in the civil rights movements with Martin Luther King in the 1960s. He shared stories of his childhood, his past, and the Christian values instilled in him as a youth. He also previewed the SEC football season and gave his philosophy of coaching.
